On Saturday 24th August 2025, we had the honour of catering Keith’s incredible 80th birthday celebration at Mill Road, Impington. With 55 guests gathered to mark such a special milestone, the atmosphere was full of joy, laughter, and community spirit and we were delighted to bring our Hog Roast Impington service to the occasion.Led by our catering manager Andrew, the team arrived early to set up and prepare for a 2pm service. From start to finish, our focus was on delivering not just delicious food, but also a seamless, attentive service so Keith, his family, and friends could simply enjoy the day. Events like this are why we love what we do, they bring people together, and we’re always proud to play a part.
The centrepiece, of course, was our whole roasted pig with golden crackling, served with apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing. This signature dish always creates a real sense of occasion, and at Hog Roast Impington, it’s at the heart of what we offer. Guests were able to enjoy it with freshly baked bread rolls and wraps, including gluten-free options so everyone felt included.
Alongside the hog roast, the menu featured an array of sides and accompaniments. The buffet spread included marinated chicken thighs, fresh mixed salad, tomato and mozzarella salad, crisp coleslaw, and herb dressed new potatoes. To add even more variety, we served butchers’ sausages and offered vegetarian and vegan alternatives, such as our popular grilled vegetable skewers with halloumi (or without for vegan guests), complete with wraps and dips.
The day was a wonderful success. Guests tucked into hearty portions, raised glasses to Keith’s 80 years, and created memories that will last a lifetime. Seeing the smiles around the room reminded us once again why Hog Roast Impington is all about more than food, it’s about making every event feel special.
We were honoured to be part of such a milestone birthday and look forward to many more Hog Roast Impington celebrations in the future.
