I have attended quite a few weddings catered by Spitting Pig East Anglia and let me just say the food is always fantastic! My husband and I booked Spitting Pig East Anglia for our wedding in September. The presentation of the food was absolutely beautiful and the servers were very pleasant. This team does a wonderful job at what they do, and they do it best. All of our guests were asking who the caterer was because the food was so delicious! We wanted to write and thank Paul our Head Chef for the wonderful food that he provided on Saturday (7th July) at my 50th birthday garden party.  It was incredibly hot, but he was both professional and really friendly and joined in by watching the big England game with us all.  The food was delicious and he went out of his way to find me and Matt (my husband) to provide us with a jam packed full roll of meat, as he had noted that neither of us had managed to find 5 minutes to stop and eat ourselves with guests constantly arriving.  Everything went perfectly.  We would be really grateful if Paul is sent a copy of this ‘thank you’ and make sure that he knows that near enough everyone as they left made a point of saying how beautifully cooked the pork was and how professional he was.  We will be enjoying the pork for some days yet.

I hope you are well. Just wanted to thank you all so much for your help and hard work on Saturday @ The Forge. The food was amazing, all our guests truly enjoyed it, both on Saturday night and as a late snack on Sunday morning!!!!

With regards to the gazebo you very kindly lent to us, we folded it neatly and left it behind the hedge, so that it is invisible form the road. As mentioned, we will not be back until Thursday, but pls feel free to let yourself into the garden to pick it up.

We really enjoyed it and have had lots of comments about how good the pork was and the team were professional and would recommend them highly. Right from the start through to the day helpful, quick communication etc.

Everything went like clockwork and it was so nice to be able to just leave you to get on with it knowing that our employees were being fed and looked after.

The day was a massive success and that was in no way thanks to the weather. Having been sunny for months on end the heavens opened just as we entered the garden to get married! We had planned to have food served outdoors and away from the ceremony area. However your team soon identified that this would not be ideal and completely re-set up in a much better position, near to where all the guests were. Feedback from our guests was that the food was really good – both the hog roast and the barbecue. There was plenty of everything and we even had pork for breakfast the following day.
Please pass on our massive thanks to Paul and his team – and assure him that next time we book we’ll make sure its sunny.
The support with booking and getting all the details agreed was superb – and we really appreciated Paul coming out to see the venue and talking us through everything beforehand.

I’m glad you emailed me 🙂 you were amazing. I have had so many compliments about how good the food was, and I would personally like to comment on how you managed to make yourselves a part of the day and were so easy going! You alleviated a lot of stress and were a dream to work with. I am so glad I chose you guys.

We loved that the chap (whose name I have forgotten – I am so sorry!) took a photo in the photo booth!! It was so funny to find that and it made us all smile!

I wanted to thank you for the excellent service. The party was a great success and the hog roast was very much a part of that. Our chef (John) arrived on time (actually – a few minutes early – I was still in my pyjamas!) and wasted no time getting set up. The roast was ready bang on 2pm as promised.  I had loads of compliments re the tastiness and the tenderness of the meat. John dealt with everything very skilfully. He stayed on and helped out until it was clear that people had moved onto puddings, packed all the leftover meat and condiments for us and then quickly and discretely tidied up. We really liked John. Not only was he lovely and polite and charming to the guests, he couldn’t have been more helpful – to the extent to helping out with moving around picnic benches while we were setting up. This was very kind and over and above the call of duty and we wanted to express our gratitude to him in particular for all his extra help.

Thanks for everything.  If we have another hog roast we will be in touch.

Our Celebration is one you will probably never have catered for before.  It was to celebrate my husband’s new life after a very successful bilateral lung transplant.  We wanted to thank everyone who had been involved, and naturally, as we will never do this again – we wanted our celebration to be perfect.  And it was – in every way. Never having had a Hog Roast in Yaxham before we weren’t sure what to expect, but Paul took the trouble to visit us prior to the event, explain what would happen, answer all our questions with great patience, and reassure us in every way.

The Party Day dawned sunny and bright, the marquees hadn’t blown away overnight and the snails hadn’t eaten all the flowers so painstakingly nurtured. While I hulled strawberries,  I didn’t even notice that Paul, Sarah and Jill had crept into the garden, erected their own gazebo, set up their Hog Roast and tables and were busily getting everything ready.  I so appreciated not being bombarded with a million questions and not once did they come into my kitchen.  They just quietly got on preparing the feast with true professionalism for our 80 guests.

When it was served, I can’t begin to describe how amazing it was.  The piggy was oinkingly tasty, beautifully presented, and the accompanying dishes were all more than fantastic.  I didn’t have to do a single thing which I so appreciated.

We have received so many compliments about our party – and so many requests for details of our “Caterers”.

Thank you so much Paul, Sarah and Gill.  You are an amazing team and worked so hard to make our celebration the success it was.

Just a note to thank you for providing the superb hog roast at our son’s wedding reception at The Norfolk Mead Hotel at Coltishall yesterday evening.

As so many of our guests  remarked it was the best hog roast they had tasted with superbly succulent meat and crackling which was sublime.

Throughout the evening there were queues following their noses to sample the delights and the friendly efficient service of your chef helped to make the evening the success that it was – please pass our sincere thanks to him.

We even caught site of out hotel’s owner enjoying a sample on the quiet so, hopefully, that could lead to future recommendations!
