Good Work Deserves Good Food: A Lunchtime with Hog Roast Cambridgeshire

Hog Roast CambridgeshireA good work lunch can do a lot for team morale, especially in January, when everyone needs a way to be picked up. On 30th January the team at Vindis Škoda in Cambridge made sure their staff felt properly appreciated. Instead of the usual midday routine, the working day paused at 1pm for something a bit more special,  a relaxed, well earned lunch that doubled as a thank you to everyone’s hard work.

Whilst the team at Vindis were working hard through the evening, we were equally putting in the effort to provide a delicious menu for everyone to enjoy. We were prepping to cater for 35 deserving employees, we wanted to keep the atmosphere informal, ensure everyone was well fed and happy and that everyone felt included no matter what their dietary requirements are. That’s where Hog Roast Cambridgeshire stepped in, bringing along a setup that worked just as well in the workplace as it would at a private party.

The main event of the feat was our signature, slow roasted pig, served with all the traditional trimmings you’d expect to see on a good roast, like sweet apple sauce, sage and onion stuffing and plenty of bread rolls and wraps to pile your plate high, these were also gluten free upon request, so it was clear no one would miss out on Hog Roast Cambridgeshirewhat was on offer. Alongside the hog roast, the vegetarian and vegan option was given just as much attention. Grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers (served without halloumi for vegan guests) were paired with wraps, a cool tzatziki dip, and a sweet chilli sauce that added a bit of spice. The menu was both hearty and inclusive, perfect for an afternoon treat.

Our friendly catering manager Andrew, made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the day, which allowed queues to move quickly, service was organised and staff could grab whatever food they wanted at a time that suited them. Because Hog Roast Cambridgeshire handled everything on the day, the Vindis Škoda team didn’t need to worry about logistics. That ease is exactly what you want when the aim of the event is to say thank you rather than add another task to the to-do list.

The aim of the day was for the Hog Roast Cambridgeshire team to put on a feast that  recognised hard work with good food, shared with colleagues and a way to wind down after a busy week. As plates were cleared and staff drifted back to work, the mood stayed positive, the kind of boost that carries through the rest of the day.
