A Wonderful White Wedding For Hog Roast Lowestoft

Early Saturday mornings are always exciting here at Hog Roast Lowestoft, every so often we are called upon to cater for that special day, where two people are wed. It’s always such a privilege to be chosen for such a special occasion, and this was a very beautiful day. It was a crisp morning, the frost had settled on the grass outside, no-one was quite sure what the weather was planning. Whilst the ceremony was taking place, Hog Roast Lowestoft began to set up their equipment and the spit slowly lurched into action, however there was still much preparation to be done.

Hog Roast LowestoftAs we were laying out our white presentation tablecloth, we noticed that outside the ground had been blanketed with white flecks, to our amazement it had started to snow. Despite the chill, we carried on regardless, making sure the food would be ready on time.

At this point, the Bride’s mother arrived to check on the proceedings and soon thereafter followed a slow influx of guests. The warmth and smell of the hog roast was a perfect welcome from the biting cold outside. Small plates of canapés were whisked around, offering the guests a delightful mini treat for their palates before the Bride and Groom arrived.

The snow had now built up a few inches on the field outside, in the distance the wedding party gathered to have their pictures taken, however, they were all soon safe inside the warm glow.

There’s nothing better for us at Hog Roast Lowestoft than seeing the happiness our food gives, each guest was able to choose from a fabulous buffet which featured a Spit Roasted Pig Served With Apple Sauce Stuffing & Crispy Crackling, seasonal vegetables and roasted new potatoes amongst other delights. Some returned for seconds and others even for thirds. Would there be room for dessert? Of course.

Dessert was served after the wedding speeches had finished, our mouth watering Creamy Cheesecake went down a treat and the more traditional Profiteroles were also much appreciated. Afterwards, a content look spread across the guests faces and also the members of our team.

We pride ourselves with being able to provide good food and good customer service.

It was a privilege to be a part of a wonderful white wedding, for a lovely new couple.
