Matt proposed to his partner while they were on holiday in January and he was also organised enough to arrange an engagement party for when they returned home. The party was going to be a great way to share the news with their loved ones and celebrate the first of many joint parties throughout the years! For the event, Matt contacted Hog Roast Nether Heyford to provide a buffet for the event, which was set to take place at his home. He looked through our menus and decided on our classic hog-roast option, as it is the most versatile yet simplistic. This event was sure to be a lot of fun and it would be great to see the pair sharing the news with their family.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Nether Heyford team arrived at Matt’s home and set up our catering station in the dining room. This gave us plenty of space to prepare, cook, and serve the dishes while the guests celebrated in the living room. For the main meal, we began by preparing the hog, slow-roasting it the perfection and expertly carving it into slices. The meat was then served in fresh bread rolls, with gluten-free rolls also on offer. Alongside the mains, we also served sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, crispy crackling, homemade chips, and seasonal vegetables to create a balanced and delicious buffet. Our catering was a great addition to the menu and definitely went down a treat with the guests.
