Like many events last year, pupils around the nation were forced to miss some of the most cherished events of school life – their end of year proms/leaving parties. Determined not to let the events of last year deprive them of this much looked forward to event, some local pupils decided to come back together for a belated leaving-do, and they thankfully opted for the fine foods of Hog Roast Aldeburgh to help keep them fed during their event.
It was a delight for the ex-pupils to come back together some months after leaving school, and catch up on all that has happened since while celebrating their many years together at school. This Winter Ball was so wonderfully decorated by the event organising committee of pupils themselves, putting up thematic decorations around the hall and little nods to their time together, including jokes, pictures, and written pieces all sent in by pupils across the whole year. While there, we at Hog Roast Aldeburgh just did we do best of course – delivering exceptional feasts to keep the party going. With varying dietary requirements there was a lot on offer, ranging from our prized hog roast to many vegan and veggie options, meaning that everyone was well catered for. The pupils opted for the Hog Roast Dining Experience in a buffet style, along with some served up canapés as guests arrived (and showed off their wonderful wintery ball gowns and suits!). For any still with enough room in their tum after this beastly buffet, desserts were served to tables with offerings like our handmade cheesecakes, profiteroles, chocolate torte’s, and, seeing as it is Christmas, some mince pies!
All that food has to go somewhere of course, and we’ve no doubt that plenty of it was burned off with the hours upon hours of jubilant dancing that ensued. As usual, Hog Roast Aldeburgh were able to get packed up seamlessly without hassle to leave the young’uns to it – after all, as much as we like to believe to the contrary, most of us are too old these days to keep up with the newest dance moves!
