There’s always a worry when having an event outdoors that it will rain, (especially in Britain and especially in summer) fortunately at Hot Roast Eye’s latest event there were blue skies all around without a single cloud in sight. The team were hired to cater a wedding reception at Eye’s Cricket Club, and the party was happening out on the impressively manicured lawn.

Hog Roast EyeThe clients worked closely with the Hog Roast Eye team to devise a unique menu for their event. With a guest list of 50 friends and family the couple wanted a buffet that had plenty of choice as well as good value for money. The clients were thrilled when they could have exactly what they wanted within their budget.

All of the dishes were made fresh at the venue by the Hog Roast Eye Chef and assistant on the day of the event. The Chef and experienced helper worked closely together to ensure that the generous buffet was ready to be raided by hungry guests at 5pm on the dot.

Although this was a wedding feast the couple took the dishes from generic Hog Roast menus, and concocted a menu that suited them. It included the delightful dishes of: BBQ Pork Butt and Fall off the bone sticky Louisiana Pork ribs. Alongside these tasty choices there was a mountain of mixed sweet potato and normal potato fries, fresh coleslaw, mac and cheese, corn cobettes and a basket of soft gluten free rolls.

Once the guests had enjoyed the buffet the Chef and assistant packed away. They gathered the used wooden crockery and cutlery they had provided, so that they might be washed and reused at future events. The team of two also gathered all rubbish generated from the catering, which they would then dispose of offsite themselves.

The event was a wonderful success; the clients were absolutely delighted with the stellar service they had received. The wedding and party went according to plan and the very happy clients’ are thoroughly enjoying their newly wed life.
