Hog Roast Roydon – Wedding After Party!

A wedding can take months, if not years of planning, but once everything falls into place, the culmination is one incredibly special day surrounded by friends and family that you will cherish for the rest of your life. After 24 hours though, it’s all over, leaving many newlyweds facing what’s known as the post-wedding blues. The solution? To keep the party going, of course!

Hog Roast RoydonAfter such a life-changing event, most couple’s (quite rightly!) don’t want the celebrations to end right away. This is why post-wedding parties are such an amazing way to reflect on the previous day!

Hog Roast Roydon was recently approached by one couple who were keen to get all their favourite people back together again, but this time for a more laid-back shindy. Following an elegant wedding ceremony the day before, these lovebirds had invited 100 people back to the secluded Lodge Barn for a relaxing get-together, and our catering team were asked to serve our classic hog roast menu at the event.

With Lee and Brad handling the food, the couple had nothing to worry about, and with the serving time scheduled to begin at 1 pm, the duo made sure to arrive several hours in advance to cook the pork all the way through. Hog Roast Roydon is great at working under pressure, and our teams always go above and beyond to ensure that our clients get the events they pictured in their minds – and this event was no different.

While the pig rested on a bed of savoury stuffing, Lee and Brad used their remaining time to rustle up the grilled vegetable skewers with optional halloumi, and the side dishes of creamy coleslaw and garden-fresh salad which were presented in beautifully organised arrangements within our eco-friendly wooden bowls. Adding the final touches, gluten-free rolls were served up in a wicker basket, and condiments were neatly assorted on the serving table for easy access.

Still on a high from the eventful day before, the guests soon made an appearance – only this time, the ball gowns and tuxedo’s had been replaced by denim jeans and comfy footwear. With everyone in attendance, Hog Roast Roydon opened the buffet for business and almost immediately the newlyweds, and their guests began filling their plates with the delicious foods.
