Kirsty and her partner moved into their first flat together earlier this summer. The moving process required help from their friends to move things from both of their family homes into a central flat. Once they had moved in, the couple spent several weeks unpacking, decorating, and settling in, creating a cosy and relaxing environment. This September, they were ready to host a housewarming party for their friends to enjoy and as a way to show off their new place. As well as looking around the flat, Hog Roast Harrington was hired to provide a tasty buffet for the guests to enjoy. After looking through our menus, it was decided that a classic hog roast was the ideal menu for the occasion.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Harrington team arrived early to prepare the catering for the 8:00pm mealtime. We began by slow roasting the hog, which needed 6 hours to cook to perfection. Once ready, the meat was expertly carved by our chef and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, and homemade applesauce. To create a balanced meal, we also served fresh salad dishes and homemade chips. Our menu went down a treat and was a great addition to the event.
