Sarah and her partner got engaged over the festive period while enjoying a Boxing Day walk with their two dogs. The pair have been together since they met at university over five years ago and have been planning their wedding even before they were engaged! They knew that they wanted to host a party at their home in East Anglia to share the news of their engagement with friends and family, so they got to work on planning this event for January 2024. The party was set to include a delicious buffet meal from Hog Roast Fair Green, with our catering managers Andrew and James more than happy to be part of such an exciting event. Before the catering is served, our team will provide a round of drinks, allowing the couple to share their news in a toast! This will be the perfect way to announce their engagement and it is bound to be exciting for everyone in attendance.
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Fair Green team will arrive at the private venue in the morning and prepare for the 5:00pm serving time. We will begin by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it is cooked to perfect and allowed to roast for over five hours. Once ready, the pork will be expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we will be serving homemade chips and a selection of seasonal salad dishes to create a varied and nutritious evening buffet.
