Opening The Doors To The Public, Welcomed With A Hog Roast!

Sandra, the teacher of popular local pottery class, decided her pupils had done so well this year with their creations that they deserved to go on public view and what’s more, she was even confident that many of the items would sell, raising much needed to buy some new equipment for their workshop. With this in mind, Sandra and her class put their heads together and organised an event to welcome the public through the doors to show off everything they had made. They wanted to make a proper day of it with food and refreshments provided but didn’t have a great deal of money to splash out on the catering. Their quest to find a local catering company who could provide great food but didn’t cost the earth led them to Hog Roast Aldeburgh’s website, and within a matter of minutes, a member of our friendly customer service team had spoken to Sandra to discuss her needs, and she promptly hired us to provide some delicious slow-roasted pork sandwiches with crispy crackling and smooth apple sauce!

Sandra loved how truly mobile Hog Roast Aldeburgh are when it comes to catering and how we bring everything we need with us Surrey - pig17and cook it all fresh at the venue. She also felt reassured that our hog roast machines can cook a vast quantity of meat in one go, so if she got the big turnout she was hoping for, she wouldn’t run the risk of running out of food! We enjoyed watching the pottery maestros proudly putting their works of art on display in the hope to get a few sales, as we put just as much care into preparing our locally-sourced pork, to ensure to was absolutely perfect for 1pm when the doors opened!

Sandra’s optimism was indeed well founded, as when 1pm came, so did most of the local community! We were of course ready and waiting to greet the art loving public with a melt in the mouth hog roast sandwich (with gluten free bread rolls for our diners with this requirement!). Our laid-back buffet style service meant everyone who walked through the door could savour our awesome pork, whilst perusing the pottery on display! Sandra and her class were thrilled with the interest from the local community, especially when many of them were more than willing to pay good money for some of their pieces, and they thanked Hog Roast Aldeburgh for helping them to get everyone through the door!
