If you have a catering business and you’re thinking of adding another string to your bow, hog or spit roast cooking could well be the one that makes your company stand out from the rest. We rent out and sell our own UK-made machines in two sizes, so they are suitable for both small occasions and huge events, catering just a handful of guests or even several hundred. In addition to showing you how to use our equipment, we can source local, free-range quality hunks of meat for your event, from juicy pigs to moist turkeys.
Local events caterer Aiden recently called us to enquire about hiring one of our Hog Roast Alburgh machines to cater a wedding reception. He was happy to hear that we offer a drop-off and collection service and though he has ample experience of cooking in this way already at home, he was relieved to hear that we don’t just drop a machine off and leave you to it. We’d much rather you were comfortable with using our equipment and only then do we leave you to it!
Aiden required a medium-sized hog to be provided on this day, too, so on the chilly Saturday morning, I went along to meet him myself at the venue, armed with one of our best-selling Titan machines, a full gas bottle (which is included in the price), and a lovely beast for him to roast for his customers that day. I gave our new customer a quick tour of the machine and instructions on how to use it and it really didn’t take long at all, as you basically turn it on, set the temperature and then watch as it slowly cooks your meat to perfection. Aiden commented on it being super-simple and a joy to deal with, so I happily left him to his own devices after that, but with some detailed directions to refer back to later just in case.
When we collected the machine on Sunday, Aiden let us know how much of a success his Hog Roast Alburgh had been and he booked us in for another hire next weekend, with the possibility of him buying a machine from us in the near future too.
