Hog Roast Stowmarket’s teams all across the UK boast all kinds of staff members from all walks of life. Amongst the many that have come through the Hog Roast Stowmarket doors to cater with us there have been more than a few veterans. Having many veterans across our franchises makes the events such as that up at Moat Grove Farm a few weeks back in ode to 80 years of Armistice all the more important to us. It is a true honour and privilege to even be considered to serve such an occasion. For all those that have served us then and now, we were more than happy to take up the privilege and cater for this very special Armistice celebration in Stowmarket.
Any event is important, but it is the ones with real world impact and resonance that really stick with us. Getting into this industry we could never have quite imagined the extent of the privileged positions that we would find ourselves in. To be able to cater for our vets, their friends, family, and mark his incredible occasion of bravery and sacrifice is likely as a big an honour as it gets. Catering manager Andrew took the responsibility immensely seriously, opting for our signature hog roast as the ultimate way to help mark such an occasion and serve up a delicious feast in ode to those that served in WWII to protect us all.
Slow roasted in the historic spit style, our hog roast is just the dish for such an occasion. With around 90 guests in attendance just one hog roast could do the job. It alone could feed around one hundred guests, but that is before you also then add in all of our typical accompaniments. For added texture in every roll and wrap, you had our golden crispy crackling, our sage and onion stuffing for even more flavour, and to make it even juicer our apple sauce. Fresh salads, slaws, and our herb dressed new potatoes bulked out the rest of the menu for guests to come and enjoy at their own leisure.
The Hog Roast Stowmarket team would like to offer our thanks once again to the organisers for picking our catering for this special and memorable day.
