The end of the last month I made a hog roast Kersey party, really busy party, made more lively and bubbly by the smallish venue, the atmosphere was a good one to be apart of. I made a spit roast pig for 100 people at that. Plenty of events throughout the month were similar to that
Starting the month was an event which almost perfectly mirrored the event in Kersey I just spoke about, a party with 100 guests and a spit roast pig at the very same venue as the first, the only difference is it was for an altogether different person, I can only imagine the venue we catered at has a great reputation for throwing a party at. This time the party was to celebrate the 50th of Maxine, her husband Jamie had quietly been putting the wheels in motions for months to give her a real birthday treat and that’s what she and each and every guest got from us. The hog roast Kersey treat we brought to the party was well received. The event also showed just how small a world it is, it turns out when I got talking to Jamie who booked us that he actually knew my Mum and my Dad and I’d been with them to a few of his barbecues as a child. I asked him if I’d returned the favour with the hog roast and how it stacked up and he said it was more than a match, but I don’t think that was ever in doubt!
Speaking to Maxine and some of the guests his feedback wasn’t unique, everybody else I spoke to shared his sentiments about the hog roast quality, lots of jokes about stealing the hog roast machine to take home as you often get, a bit more unusually one of the guests proposed kidnapping me with the hog roast machine as he wasn’t too confident in his own cooking ability!!
With that I quietly made my exit and went home to the safety of my bed. Now it’s a new month and I can’t wait to get going again.
