After last weekends down pour we were relived to see that Saturday started dry not that we were that bothered as we were catering inside a hall but we hate travelling in the rain! When we arrived at the town we were a little lost and our sat nav was not working as it should have been so it took s a while to get there, still we had plenty of time to spare and as soon as we arrived we set to work setting up the machines and getting the meat onto cook Hog Roast Feston caterers were cooking for a gentleman who’s 40th birthday he was celebrating and a good crowd expected. Soon the room was filled with the fresh aroma of wonderful meat cooking and the smell was amazing succulent meat that is just so tasty and we are really proud of all we do and we never fail to amaze our selves at each event! With the meat we were making vegetable kebabs with honey glaze a wonderful alternate to salad and a healthy colourful tasty treat! We made some sauces all specially created by our selves and one especially created for the meats, the pork and beef were coming along nicely as we finished setting the tables and the crowds had gathered from no where! When the meat was cooked we let it rest for a few minutes as we sliced open the huge soft buns and then we filled the buns with hot meat and offered gravy dip and sauces to the guests who were really having fun experimenting with the different sauces to the meats. The gentleman who’s birthday it was especially loved the food he especially loved the crackling and couldn’t believe how good it tasted we said to him we would teach him the art of perfect crackling and suggested he hired a machine one weekend and gave it a go him self and he was really keen to try this. As we departed we shook the gentleman’s hand and we wished him well we do enjoy hog roasting inĀ FestonĀ and we never get tired of our job which is hard to believe we know!
