Celebrating The Euros Final With Hog Roast Burwell!

Spitting Pig East angliaThe Euros have wrapped up for another four years, leaving us with a whirlwind of emotions and memories that will linger until the next tournament. From the beginning, it was a heart-pounding, nail-biting journey as we cheered on the lions, right through to that dramatic final against Spain. And, sure, the result wasn’t quite what we dreamed of, but our pride in the lads’ performance is undiminished. More importantly, this tournament has brought the nation together in ways we’ll never forget!

One memorable Euros event Hog Roast Burwell attended was hosted by our client, Cameron. Confident that England would bring it home, Cameron went all out for the final match, transforming his back garden into a football fan’s paradise. England bunting fluttered in the breeze, a massive projector screen was set up for optimal viewing, and footie-themed cocktails were on the menu. Sixty of Cameron’s nearest and dearest showed up, ready to party. To top it all off, Hog Roast Burwell presented an epic feast. Our catering extraordinaries, Andrew and James, cooked up a storm on our state-of-the-art grill, preparing a legendary hog roast that had mouths watering long before it was ready.

The garden was filled with the irresistible aroma of roasting meat, and our spectacular grazing table didn’t disappoint either. It was a colourful spread of fine cheeses, breadsticks, deli meats, houmous, olives, grapes, and miniature sausage rolls—plenty to tide everyone over until the main event. When the hog roast was finally ready, it was a sight to behold. Hog Roast Burwell carved the pig, separating the crispy crackling from the tender, juicy meat. We served the pulled pork on soft gluten-free and wholemeal rolls, topped with the crispy Hog Roast East Angliapork rinds, homemade sage and onion stuffing, and a delightful homemade applesauce that perfectly balanced the savoury flavours. On the side, we had seasonal mixed salads, gourmet coleslaw, tomato and mozzarella salad, and freshly prepared mixed fries. For the non-meat eaters, there were delicious BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls. As 8 pm rolled around, everyone huddled around the big screen, hearts thumping with anticipation. When Cole Palmer scored in the second half, the garden erupted in joy. However, the elation was short-lived as Spain scored their second goal just minutes before full-time. But despite the crushing defeat, the night was far from ruined. Cameron and his guests revelled in the brilliant company, fantastic music, and some of the best food East Anglia has to offer!
