At Hog Roast Woodbridge we love celebrating hard working people and that is exactly what we did on Sunday 28th September for 35 well deserving guests at the Classic Car Workshop. We had the pleasure of catering for a staff appreciation event at a unique venue which had many of the guests coming back for seconds.
With our friendly catering manager Andrew leading the Hog Roast Woodbridge team, we had a clear vision, we wanted to provide fresh and delicious food which would bring everyone together for a well deserved break and judging by not only the empty plates but laughter filling the venue, we well and truly accomplished that vision.
The staff gathered for their lunchtime treat at 1:30pm, trading hard work for hearty food, turning a regular work day into an event.
As always, the whole roasted hog was the showstopper, slow-cooking on a low heat well before the guests tucked into the feast. The meat fell off the bone and onto the guests plates, as we carved up the meat, the staff began building their plates. We served up the pork with the classics, sage and onion stuffing, sweet apple sauce and f
reshly baked bread rolls and wraps (gluten-free too upon request!), perfect for a delicious hog roast sandwich.
No plate was complete without a helping of our sides, as always there was such a variety up for grabs. Crisp mixed salad and gourmet coleslaw were our signature options for this event’s menu, light and tasty, perfect for an afternoon serve.
We know that not everyone’s preference is meat, which is why we always cater for a variety of dietary needs and both options were a big hit with our hungry guests. Served on soft wraps with a drizzle of fresh tzatziki wraps, our veggie main was vegetable and halloumi skewers or for a little something different, we served up hickory smoked BBQ jackfruit on soft white rolls, always a plant-based showstopper.
