Easter is finally here and for many people, this religious holiday is a time for families to get together and to enjoy themselves after a long period of lent whereby they might’ve given something up. If you have kids, I’m sure you will know that often the holiday actually becomes more about collecting the most Easter eggs! Well here at Hog Roast Stowmarket we are all about good hearty food, so if you are looking to get your children to eat something other than chocolate eggs this Easter we are the ones to contact!
With Friday being Good Friday, fish is often eaten in a century’s old tradition. Now, despite our name Hog Roast Stowmarket are able to cook any and all types of meat, poultry and fish and so when Katherine contacted us about providing a Good Friday meal we were happy to offer her the traditional fish option.
Our head Hog Roast Stowmarket chef knows a brilliant salmon recipe which we offered to Katherine. For this option, we roast the salmon whole and serve it up with peas, potatoes and bacon which simply looks spectacular when served up. Katherine decided to go for this option along with some of our classic Hog Roast Stowmarket rolls which she thought would suit the kids well in addition to some of her guests who she knew weren’t keen on fish.
Katherine wanted the food to be served as a late lunch/early dinner meal and so we arrived mid-morning in order to have the optimum amount of time to get everything prepared and ready for the twenty guests that would be attending.
When serve time rolled around our waiting staff handed out portions of our roasted salmon and hog roast rolls. As we saw guests happily chomping down on our food we knew it was a job well done and so discreetly tidied away our things to leave Katherine and her guests to enjoy their Good Friday meal…
