The team had the weather on their side on the afternoon of Friday 5th September, whilst they had the pleasure of creating a day to remember for one of our returning customers; Barcham Trees. We always appreciate the opportunity of coming back to serve up delicious food for them and their team.
Our team got to work straight away, preparing our classic hog roast by ensuring that the slow roasted meats were cooked to perfection, packed full of flavour and ready to be served up in time for the guest to arrive.
The sun was shining over the 58 guests who gathered for a lunchtime feast, the event celebrated their dedicated staff members, so our Southern Style Roast was the 
perfect addition to the cheerful atmosphere and the stunning views looking over Eye Hill Drove in Cambridge.
The guests had the opportunity to personalise their plate, we served up our signature meats including the popular rich and smoky BBQ pulled pork, slow cooked beef brisket and flavoursome cajun chicken and what’s a roast without a good side?
To complement our mouthwatering mains, our caterers served up a selection of signature sides with a smile, whether the guests wanted to satisfy their savoury cravings with a creamy mac and cheese or opt for something fresher like the Seasonal Leaf Green Salad and Crunchy Coleslaw Salad, our team had it all!
Of course, not to forget our vegetarian guests, who could choose from plant-based favourites like the BBQ pulled jackfruit or the grilled vegetables and halloumi skewers.
Whether you’re a meat lover or a veggie, all guests can load up their plate further with a choice of bread rolls or wraps.
Hog Roast Ely served up all the delicious options on our sustainable crockery which really added to the outdoor dining experience.
The event was led by our experienced catering manager Andrew who ensured the day ran smoothly and provided friendly service to all our guests.
