Gillian contacted the Hog Roast Holme Next the Sea team about her birthday celebrations several weeks ago and was so excited about planning her special party! Her plans may had to be altered and reduced somewhat due to COVID restrictions but her undeniable spirit was infectious and the team were as excited as she was when her special day rolled around.
The client, Gillian, worked closely with the team to put together a menu for the buffet that would be a delight for all tastes and dietary choices/requirements. Birthday girl Gillian was very keen that as well as a Classic Hog Roast, complete with crispy crackling, homemade sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce, there would be a delicious vegetarian alternative. She selected to have plain grilled vegetable skewers as well as vegetable and halloumi skewers on offer for her vegetarian guests. Also on offer at the simply majestic buffet was to be piping hot perfectly baked potatoes, refreshing crunchy coleslaw, a fresh green leaf salad and a deliciously exotic Mediterranean pasta salad. The last thing on offer at the buffet was a large basket of soft gluten free rolls and an assortment of sauces for everyone to enjoy.
As part of her catering package Gillian selected to use Hog Roast Holme Next the Sea’s high quality reusable wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery for her event. These were brought to the Town Hall when Catering Manager Suzie arrived at 2pm to set up the cooking equipment. Suzie had plenty of time before the 8pm serving time to create every single dish fresh for the lucky 15 guests and the birthday girl to enjoy.
Once the buffet had been thoroughly enjoyed by the party goers and Gillian, Chef Suzie quietly tidied away. She took all the rubbish generated from the catering element of the event and took it away from the venue, leaving Gillian able to focus on celebrating her 40th birthday rather than worrying about tidying up.
It was a wonderful event and Gillian’s delight was palpable, she had had a very happy birthday.
