When there is a second heatwave in the year very few of us are going to want to be stuck indoors in a room of a hundred or more guests for your events. It’s hot, stuffy, and the sunshine is so fleeting in this country anyway that you don’t want to be missing out when it is here. Thankfully at Hog Roast Stewartby our unique mode of catering is perfectly suited to outdoor service, and our ability to adapt and be flexible to the changing tide of catering allows us to move quickly with changes too. So, when we looked at our roster of events the other week during the latest heatwave it was of very little surprise that quite a few of our customers made contact to ask about moving the whole service to the outdoors (for locations and events that could offer such a service). Not a problem by our book at Hog Roast Stewartby!
The hog roast, for one, is a dish that you would typically cook and serve outdoors anyway. The traditional spit style of which our mobile roaster recreates in an authentic form was done on a great big fire pit with the pig sat over the flame mound and turned around and around for hours. We don’t quite do this now because it is rarely feasible for most locations, but our mobile hog roasting units work via the same principle and recreate the traditional spectacle, only in more contained and efficient form. It’s easy for us to move this indoors or out, then, meaning there is very little interruption to our service when your events are changed even at late notice. Events this week still enjoyed the same great catered spectacle and delicious service as usual!
The sunny outdoors is also usually a perfect excuse for a barbecue in this country too, so some of our events even looked to tweak their menu a little and have a gourmet barbecue range on us instead. Again, not a problem for Hog Roast Stewartby! We may have felt the heat along with the rest of you, but that heat certainly wasn’t in the metaphorical sense from having to stress over quick changes – we had everything covered!
