Hog Roast The Broads Served A Fantastic Feast In Honour Of World Hearing Day

If there’s one thing the UK won’t be getting an award for anytime soon, it’s good weather, and with the barrage of storms we’ve been facing recently, many people have been left feeling uncertain about whether to go ahead with their events or not. The good news is, Hog Roast The Broads can just as easily set up our equipment indoors, meaning if you want to chance your luck by organising an outdoor celebration or function, you can do so knowing that the event can be taken inside at the last minute!

Hog Roast The BroadsFor Jeremy, who had pre-planned a charity fundraising event in honour of March’s world hearing day, this was exactly the kind of news he had been hoping for. With 130 people planning to attend the fundraiser, the client was eager for us to serve a menu that would offer something for everyone. With that in mind, Hog Roast The Broads recommended our classic hog roast feast with veggie skewers as the meat-free alternative and a side option of loaded fries for those feeling adventurous. Like the majority of our clients, Jeremy was amazed by how easy it had been to place a booking with us, which further fuelled his excitement for the occasion which took place during the week.

By the time Tuesday rolled around, the weather had taken a turn for the worse, and to save the guests from traipsing around outside in the pouring rain, Hog Roast The Broads set up our cooking equipment inside the venue that Jeremy had managed to hire at the last minute. Using our Hogmaster, the team effortlessly slow roasted a large-sized pig which had been pre-scored and nestled amongst our famous homemade onion stuffing. Adding the final touches to the feast, the catering crew pieced together the veggie skewers which they chargrilled over a low flame and served alongside the inclusive cheese and jalapeno smothered fries.

When the ticket holders arrived, they were grateful to be welcomed in out of the rain and served with a flavour-packed meal which had them rushing back for seconds. Most importantly, Jeremy raised awareness and vital funds for an important cause and has since been in touch to thank Hog Roast The Broads for making the event run so smoothly.
