When it comes to charity fundraising events, nothing beats the feel-good vibes and the thrill of making a difference. At Hog Roast Cringleford, we’ve had the pleasure of catering for a myriad of these heart-warming occasions, and, if we’re being totally honest – we get more excited each time! So, when Lewis reached out to us ahead of his fundraising gala, we were absolutely buzzing to be a part of it.

Lewis was on a mission to raise funds for a special needs children’s charity and wanted his gala to be a night where guests felt both pampered and inspired to give generously – all while keeping things budget-friendly. After a detailed chat with our catering manager, it was clear that Lewis had a vision, and we were ready to make it happen!

We recommended our Alfresco Menu—think traditional hog roast with a dash of sophistication. For Lewis, the hearty, flavourful roast pork paired with elegant antipasti platters and gorgeous sides was exactly what he had been looking for.

Fast forward to the big night, and Hog Roast Cringleford was on fire! We were the first to arrive at the event hall and wasted no time in getting to work on the feast. Two adult pigs were slow-roasted toHog Roast Cringleford perfection, filling the venue with a mouth-watering aroma.

To accompany the pork, we prepared savoury stuffing, applesauce, vibrant heritage tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad, seasonal greens, homemade coleslaw, and buttery new potatoes. Making sure everyone felt included, we rustled up a meat-free option of grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs with tzatziki dip and flatbreads.

Each table was adorned with a bamboo charcuterie board bursting with Italian delights—cheeses, meats, artisanal breads—giving guests something to snack on while they mingled.

As the clock struck 7 pm, our team served up plates of deliciousness with a smile and a touch of flair. The hog roast and kebabs were devoured with gusto, and as a lively vocalist took to the stage, the atmosphere was electric. Dessert followed—rich, creamy cheesecake and zesty tarte au citron that had everyone raving.

The party didn’t stop until the early hours, thanks to a fantastic DJ. And as Hog Roast Cringleford packed up, cleared tables, and took care of leftovers discreetly, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride. Lewis was over the moon, having smashed his fundraising target and was delighted with our service!
