Hog Roast Diss are no strangers to wedding catering. Having recently attending the local Diss’s wedding fair we were expecting to get a lot of enquiries in the coming weeks from couples looking to plan their big day.
We have such an extensive range of wedding menus to suit everyone’s idea of a perfect wedding day. From the more traditional three course dinners with canapes and rinks service to the ever more common relaxed wedding affair of a hog roast buffet- Hog Roast Diss can do it all!
This Saturday was a great day for us as we were catering at the local town hall for Jim and Pamela’s big day! They had asked us to create a bespoke menu them that includes our signature roasted hog and crackling along with a leg of lamb and rosemary and garlic roasted potatoes. All of this would be served with seasonal roasted vegetables and an array of salads and sauces to suit all tastes. With everything set up well ahead of serve time we were able to focus our attention on cooking the perfect meal for the happy couple.
The guests arrived after the church service to the smell of a Hog Roast Diss slowly roasting away and we lost count of how many times we were asked when serve time would be. The answer? 3’o’clock, so luckily people didn’t have too long to wait but it meant that Jim and Pamela had time to get all their wedding photos they wanted with the photographer and for the initial speeches to be made.
Although we were catering a more informal style of menu we were still providing our usual waiter service, so our team were hard at work ensuring all of the one hundred and fifty guests got everything they needed in term of the food, from the guest reactions everyone was more than satisfied.
