One of the things a Hog Roast has over all other forms of cuisine, is the spectacle of it. There really is nothing quite like watching a whole Hog roasting slowly to a golden crisp over the course of several hours – it’s a work of art. And that’s why a Hog roast works remarkably well at weddings, as its sense of grandeur acts as the perfect flourish to your special day. What’s more, our amazing catering assistants and waiting staff are experts in providing smooth, pleasant and efficient service, meaning you can relax and enjoy your big day.
Some of our latest customers, Joan and Alfie, experienced the marvel of one of our hog roasts for themselves, and what better way to enjoy it than on their wedding day? They spoke with the team at Hog Roast Suffolk prior to their event about all the key details, such as the number of guests, choice of menu and any necessary allergy or dietary requirements. They selected a Hog Roast with a seasonal veg medley, roasted new potatoes and a homemade onion gravy for their sixty guests, and the Whole Roast Salmon as an alternative.
As Joan and Alfie, and their guests were getting ready, our team from Hog Roast Suffolk arrived at the venue for the wedding reception to begin setting up. Our chef butchered the hog and placed it on the machine for roasting, whilst our catering assistant decorated the room with banners and table displays, as well as laying the tables with cutlery. By the time the guests arrived with the newly-weds, the room looked fabulous and the smell of the hog was wafting through the air. The mains were served buffet style on real plates.
Also, for dessert, handmade Chocolate Torte, before guests enjoyed a night of dancing and drinking and laughter, in celebration of Joan and Alfie’s union. With another set of guests well fed and satisfied, the team from Hog Roast Suffolk tidied away their mess and disposed of any waste offsite.
