Over the weekend, the Chinese communities came together (socially distanced of course) to celebrate their lunar new year! It was a weekend filled with delicious, traditional Chinese food, fireworks and treats. 2021 is the year of the Ox, it is said that those who born in the year of the Ox have the following personality characteristics: reliable, trustworthy, strong, calm, fair, patient, kind, and methodical. 2009 was the last year of the Ox.
To celebrate the Lunar New Year, a local company booked Hog Roast Barsham to treat their staff. Hog Roast Barsham liaised with the manager and business owner Lee Wong who told the catering managers the traditional food he would be indulging with his family to celebrate, he thought that the staff at his company would prefer traditional British food with some Chinese treats on the side!
Lee decided on Hog Roast Barsham’s classic hog roast for his staff to enjoy with some dim sum on the side as well as the British classic order at the Chinese: chips.
The classic hog roast entailed a whole roasted pig, with guaranteed crunchy crackling and surrounded by flavourful stuffing. All piled into a soft bap of the staff’s choice: seeded, brown, cheesy or brown. Or if they fancied something different, they could indulge in a hog roast wrap! A slightly lighter option on the carb side, but can fit more scrumptious pig and stuffing in!
The staff were overjoyed with their hog roast treat with Hog Roast Barsham’s Dim Sum enjoyed by all as well. The Dim Sum consisted of vegetable spring rolls, duck spring rolls, sweet and sour parcels and prawn toasts. All completely flavoursome and equally delicious as the other. Chips always go down well with the customer and their guests.
The food was thoroughly enjoyed by all with many compliments and Lee hoping to have Hog Roast Barsham back in the near future.
