Hog Roast Rothersthrope makes Harry Happy

Hog Roast RothersthropeLast week marked Harry’s 65th birthday and to celebrate, he decided to have party in a converted barn with a beautiful courtyard in the middle. To the East of this courtyard, right next to the entrance to the rustic handmade bar stood Hog Roast Rothersthrope. Harry had requested the presence of Hog Roast Rothersthrope so that he could fully immerse himself into the madness of the party. Hog Roast Rothersthrope was not alone in that courtyard, there were fair rides and entertainers, which Harry claimed were all for the grandkids but, all the adults were straight on the rides and enticed by the entertainers. Harry had arranged bumper cars, a funfair-favourite carousel and a rodeo bull. The entertainers were a mixture of brave fireeaters, people on stilts, dancers and a magician.

As guests arrived at 7pm, they were greeted with a selection of Hog Roast Rothersthrope’s hearty and delicious canapés that had been made fresh on site. Three-waiters wondered around the courtyard with rustic wooden boards topped with scrumptious savoury treats. Harry had decided on the beer-battered fish and chips – light beer-infused battered cod chunks with a chunky potato bite, dreamy halloumi – grilled halloumi on a garlic croute and finished with a dollop of sweet red onion marmalade, a selection of flavourful favourite Indian nibbles such as pakoras and samosas, a variety of nourish mini pizzas and tender and tasty chicken satay sticks. A rather satisfying selection that birthday boy Harry thoroughly enjoyed.

Hog Roast RothersthropeAt 8pm, Hog Roast served up a whole roasted pig with all the tasty trimmings. Harry had requested the pig to be spit-roasted on a rotisserie and therefore the hog had been slowly turning and cooking away for 6 hours. The crackling was seriously crunchy as a result and the meat tender and moist. The soft and flavourful pulled pork was served in a roll or wrap of the guest’s choice with scrumptious sage and onion stuffing. Many guests went for the classic apple sauce, but some opted for less traditional sauces such as yoghurt and mint and sweet chilli.

Such a fantastic event for Hog Roast Rothersthrope to cater at.
