The theatrical cooking style of a Hog Roast Feltwell simply can’t be beaten but there are times when customers want alternatives. We love to surprise our customers by showing them just how versatile and flexible our hog roast machines are, and the fact that they are not only intended to use for cooking hogs. We designed the machines to be adaptable and that’s why we have additional kits so you can spit roast with ease or even barbecue meat, fish and vegetables. The latter is what we did earlier today when catering for a birthday outdoors at a local pub – well, except that we didn’t bbq any fish!
Who doesn’t love a good barbie in the summer? However, they are just as great at any other time of the year and this comforting type of food can warm you up if you’re celebrating outdoors at this time of year like Mickey and his guests. For his 50th birthday, Mickey arranged with us to provide a winter bbq Hog Roast Feltwell for his birthday, with various hot meats and veggies to warm his guests up early this afternoon.
Together with our handmade burgers (which are 100% beef) and our chef’s own gourmet sausages, we were asked to cook vegetable kebabs, consisting of aubergine, courgettes, mixed peppers, and mushrooms, and they would be accompanied by roasted cherry tomatoes on the vine. Additionally, Mickey asked for corn on the cob, which we would add plenty of butter to, as well as some salads and bread rolls for the burgers and sausages. There would be plenty of fresh, quality, tasty items of food to go around.
The rain didn’t matter one bit today as we went prepared to the venue with one of our marquee tents. We set that up with the Hog Roast Feltwell machine inside, ready to cook lots of lovely food for the 20+ guests, and set up the serving station with sauces and napkins.
Nearer the time of service, our team was kept busy ensuring the food was all ready at the same time, so once the meat had cooked perfectly inside and out, it was time to serve everything hot and fresh. By the looks on their faces as they enjoyed our fare, the guests didn’t care one bit that it was the coldest time of the year outside.
