Putting the Final Touches To Our Festive Menu at Hog Roast Norwich!

Hog Roast NorwichOctober is one of the best months for the Hog Roast Norwich team. Not only is there plenty of autumn events to be getting on with in one of our favourite seasons of the year (I mean seriously, what better a match for the golden hog roast than the golden browns of the autumnal season and vibe), not only is there Halloween to look forward to, where we delve into all the spooky fun with our catered events, but it is also the time of year that we start looking ahead to our festive menu and events.

Christmas is a massively important period of the year for all of the Hog Roast Norwich teams. As a roast catering specialist, we find ourselves in high demand each and every festive season. There are workplace nights out to organise, end of year parties to cater, school celebrations for kids – it’s a packed season filled with festive hog roast goodness!

Because the season is so packed, we always like to stay well prepared far in advance. The festive season brings out the return of our special festive menu, meaning you get a slightly different selection for your events than you would the rest of the year. There are still the Hog Roast Norwich staples of course, but with our festive menu we combine those staples with your favourite Christmas classics. Glazed carrots and sprouts, mince pies, pigs in blankets (a must in our books), homemade sage and onion stuffing, cranberry sauce, cauliflower cheese, and, of course, the king of Christmas, the roast turkey!

To make sure our festive menu is in tip top shape we always like to do a quick refresher session for all of our Hog Roast Norwich teams. It’s a great day for all of them, because our chefs get to try out a couple of dishes that might come into the menu along with the festive staples we provide year on year, and then the entire Hog Roast Norwich team has a full festive spread in front of them, just ready for eating. Without any guests, someone has to eat it! It’s training and prep, but it’s also a quick celebration before the hard work begins in earnest come November and December!
