With Spring upon us it is the season for the sprouting and the blossoming of the new, and what is more beautiful to blossom in life than a new loving marriage? For Hog Roast Turvey’s recent customers and now newlyweds, Ciara and John, there was certainly a lot of love blossoming at their wedding last week, as the Hog Roast Turvey team found themselves in attendance to provide drinks and dining services to a beautiful occasion that was more than a privilege to be privy to.
Ciara and John had first enjoyed our dining at another wedding for Ciara’s cousin, and having loved our hog roast they insisted on getting our name and number to call upon in the future. Covid-19 and the pandemic had scuppered their earlier plans to get married in the summer of 2020, so this roast menu had been a long time coming, and one in which Ciara herself said “was dreamt about near enough every day during that pandemic”. We hope the wedding itself was also top of her mind along with the meal, but we certainly can’t blame her for thinking non-stop about our great foods!
Having enjoyed our menus before the couple were forthright in choosing the menus and foods they wanted for their weddings – having had plenty of time to think about it as well! To get things started the Hog Roast Turvey team helped to welcome guests to the reception with an entry drink of beer or prosecco, or a soft drink for the kids and the drivers, along with a rotation of canapés that were served around the room as guests began to mingle and catch up before dinner. These canapés were our pan seared fillet of beef, roasted tomato and halloumi crostini, mini quiches, roasted duck, handmade gourmet sausages.
One guests were seated dinner was served as a buffet, with our hog roast and our whole roasted chicken carved up professionally and dished up by our expert chefs, while guests could then take their pick to accompaniments to their wanting. Plates were piled high with our meat or our BBQ pulled jackfruit, along with homemade coleslaw, fries, Caesar salad, buttered new potatoes, bread rolls, seasonal mixed leaves, and mini pizzas. Plenty to go around for all with the wedding cake topping it all off! Delish!
